The Juridische Faculteitsvereniging (JFV) is the main Study Association from the Faculty of Law. It was established in May 1908. During the 100th anniversary, mr. Wallage awarded the JFV with a Royal Medal of Honor. In 1908 the JFV was still a small association with a few members, now it has become one of the largest associations in Groningen with around 2900 members. The JFV is also one of the largest and most professional Law Faculty Associations in the Netherlands.
The JFV is also one of the largest and most professional Law Faculty Associations in the Netherlands.
The Law Faculty of Groningen has several associations, but the JFV is the only one that organizes activities for law students from all fields and specializations. The JFV therefore has a wide range of activities and facilities. The JFV brings these activities and facilities into four pillars, namely study, deepening, career and social. Participation in JFV activities is often seen as an educational, practical addition to law studies.
