We are looking for a student who has a keen interest in our Corporate practice.
You will be employed as a student trainee on a full-time basis, for a period of two-months.
The practice
Our experts repeatedly contribute to initiating, shaping and acting at the forefront of major new corporate law developments, and take pride in going the extra mile to find creative solutions for our clients, understanding their business context and the jurisdictions in which they operate. We handle complex national and cross-border transactions and are a trusted adviser for both private and public clients.
We advise on the response measures and corporate governance aspects of shareholder activism or hostile takeovers, restructuring, joint ventures, the corporate governance aspects of an upcoming IPO, and much more. We are the principal corporate legal adviser for many publicly listed clients on Euronext Amsterdam and abroad, and are equally proud to assist start-ups with the experience we have in both mature and new or developing markets.
What you can expect as a student trainee
As a student trainee, you will have the opportunity to work in one of our Corporate divisions:
- Mergers & Acquisitions;
- Capital Markets;
- Finance & Restructuring; or
- Financial Markets & Regulation.
As a student trainee, you will be involved a combination of ‘know-how’ work (including literature and jurisprudence research) and the preparation of presentations and advice. You will be able to participate fully in all of our educational and social programmes: both those which are practice specific, and those arranged for the whole firm. You will also participate in our Introduction Day, and have the opportunity to meet other colleagues starting at the same time, in different roles across the firm. You will share a room with one of our lawyers, and be able to accompany them to (client) meetings.
The requirements
If you are:
- a third-year Bachelor or Master's student, with a strong academic record;
- eager and excited to learn;
- meticulous and well-organised;
- proactive; and have excellent Dutch and English language skills*,
then we very much look forward to hearing from you. Please note in your motivation letter in which corporate practice group you are (most) interested.
